INTRODUCTION
Architectural Draughtmanship is a changing and satisfying career. Modern architectural techniques is based on computer aided design. This course will enable participants to understand architectural draughtsmanship techniques based on computer aided design.
At the end of the course, participants will be able to operate computer aided drafting and design techniques for architectural application at level 1. Advance course is available at level 2 and level 3.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Upon completion of the course, participants will have the opportunity to work as trainee architecture draughtsman at architectural firm as well as construction companies
COURSE CONTENT
- Introduction to Architectural Drawing
- Architectural Techniques, Symbols and Lines
- Basic Architectural Drawing
- Basic Geometry Drawing
- Introduction to AutoCAD (INTELLI-CAD)
- CAD Interface, Menus, Toolbars and Command
- CAD Setting and Coordinate System
- CAD Drawing Displaying Commands Menu Toolbars
- CAD Creating Objects Commands Menu Toolbars
- CAD Editing Objects Commands Menu Toolbars
- CAD Text and Dimension Command Menu/Dialogue box
- Practical / Produce CAD Working Drawing for Single Storey House
- Practical / Produce Basic CAD Detail Drawing
Portfolio / Working Drawing Assignments
DURATION
15 weeks - 2 times a week - 3 hours for every session (Total = 90 hours) or weekend (6 hours per session during weekends ). Total = 90 hours.
METHADOLOGY
• Practical and hands on skills = 80%, Theory/lecture = 20%
• Assessment by assignment, projects and portfolio
ADVANCE COURSE
Those who completed at Level 1 can proceed to Level 2 and 3 Certified Architectural Draughtsman, City & Guilds of London and other courses
